Everyone has a little box filled with stashed away birthday cards, old crispy letters, bookmarks, small gizmos (I keep all the watches that my Dad gave me and I even keep my old pager... Yep! It's one hell of an antique already...) and truckloads of memories... And so, instead of studying (Gawd.. my exams start tomorrow), there I was taking out every single card and letter that I've ever recieved and started reading all of them. Many were from penpals that I have long stopped contacting... many were from old classmates writing silly letters to each other... some were love letters written by secret admirers and a certain old flame... And while reading all of these all over again, memories just flood back instantaneously. And for a good hour, I sat alone in my room smiling to myself, laughing out loud at times, and at other moments let out sighs.. When I was done, I placed all these back into my little tin box and stashed it away again to collect dust.
I realised, it's been a long since I last contributed anything into my tin box. And it's been an even longer time since I last wrote letters to a friend or to a loved one. Hell, I've never even written a love letter to Big. And then I couldn't help but wonder, is the age of writing love letters truly over? I wonder to myself, do people still write love letters, and if they do, are they writing love emails? I must admit, looking at my love letters of the past, they are incredibly mushy (they made me nausea) but then again, they were incredibly thoughtful as well because when you write such letters, you are letting the other know how you feel. Words may be insignificant but they go a loooooong way. Looking back, I'm amazed that Big and I have never gone down that path. We don't exchange love letters... we have never even exchanged lovey-dovey smses... hell, he has never even said he loves me (except only once... but that was because I forced him).
Oh well, just food for thought here. Maybe it's time to stop typing and start writing. May not be efficient but at least it's more fulfulling, don't you think? And so, for those of you have a little box of your own, go do yourself a favour and go rake up some good old nostalgia... And for those who don't, what the hell are you waiting for? Go get one already!
Just some random pictures I took with my phone camera while trawling along the streets of Singapore..
And here's more of the football hunk, Sunny... it's a pity he ain't from Singapore... Drats.
On another note... I had stopped watching Survivor ever since that Richard Hatch showed off his naked butt on it. But looks like I had better tune in to the latest season of Survivor. There are many eye candies to look out for this season..
And the Asian guys in there are fucking hot!
This is Yul, one of the two asian hotties in Survivor. Korean americans are popping up everywhere nowadays eh? Anyway, by golly... look at those hard-rock abs. The producers of Survivor sure know how to choose their contestants!
And this is Brad. He's gorgeous and fabulously gay. Sure... we have seen many gays on reality shows before (Richard Hatch being the first)... But how often do you see a gay asian on TV? And a good looking one at that? I hope Yul and Brad can move on to become the final 2 contestants. That will show those white people not to underestimate asians...
Unfortunately, as of now, it's the Caucasians leading the way with all 5 still in the game... followed closely by the Asians with 4 contenders still ready to kick some butt. The Blacks come in third with 3 of them still surviving.. While the Latinos are survived by just one and only member.
Big keeps talking about wanting a 2nd boyfriend, something which I'm quite against... but if he were to look something like this, then of course I want also..
Happy days are truly over. Literally. Nowadays, go down to Happy on a weekend, and you will only find a few lost souls loitering around. Then again, now that it's the 7th month, maybe they really are lost souls!!! Nowadays, the happy people are back to the once sleazy Tabs and kiddish Whynot, and they seem truly happy to stay there (pun intended). As for Sunday nights, Attica and their boy icon DJ George trumps every other clubs hand down. There's no place else more happening than Attica on a otherwise dull Sunday night. Looks like Centro Sunday nights are finally being revived in the form of Attica! Happy must really be churning in their watery graves right now, having retired DJ George from Happy's consoles. Even Happy's SWEAT parties are seeing a drop among party-goers. It makes you wonder why they even bother organising it anymore. Still, if there's one good thing left about them, it's that they still continue to pick delicious hunks as their SWEAT poster boys. Still, even the eye candies can't save Happy from its sad fate.
To think Taboo actually once went through this phrase of abandonment before. When Happy first started, the crowds were flocking to the new darling of Tanjong Pagar. Taboo and Whynot were left to bite the dust. Yet why the sudden change of fates? Could it be karma? Well, perhaps Happy's arrogance is to blame. Happy's management decision to ban Patricia Mok and her entourage of friends were rumoured to be among the many factors that caused Happy's downfall. Also, reports of Happy's miserly ways seemed to turn many regulars off. While the bosses of Taboo were generous with their drinks, Happy bosses made sure they got back tit for tat, if not more. In addition, during these times, Taboo and Whynot have been constantly reinventing themselves, be it through revamped interiors or newly rehearsed drag shows, they manage to stay ahead. And what's left of Happy is a haggard looking club with nothing new to offer.
Rumours have said that the Happy bosses are so desperate, they intend to turn Happy into a Karaoke Bar during quiet nights! The horrors... How did this once posh club delve into such an unhappy state (pun intended again)? Will Happy rise back to the occasion? Well, that's anybody's guess. But what's for sure is that if the bosses of Happy don't humble themselves and reinvent Happy, then Happy days may well be truly over.
It just so happened that I accidentally left my set of keys in the house when the both of us were rushing out for work. And right now, he's in L.A. And if it doesn't get any worse than that, well, he'll only be back next Monday.
So there you go. I'll be officially locked out of Big's house for a whole one week!
My University school notes! My Japanese class notes! All my clothes! And worse of all, our precious orchids are slowly dying of thirst.
AAAHHH! My poor Hanabi-san, kinyobi-san, mokuyobi-san, suiyobi-san and tieshu-san... I can hear their cries of desperation right now... sob sob... Thank God we don't own a dog. Else come back, sure see one dead corpse... then i'm sure Big will really kick me out officially then. :-p
Now, I'm wondering if I should get locksmith or wait for Big. But even if I get locksmith, they might not want to open it for me cause it is not my house after all! Ahh.. don't tell me I must really wait until Monday? This is CRAZY!
After seeing this photo, I think Sam Soon can stand one corner and gorge on her cake, while Hee Jin will be puking her skinny ass off and the boys will probably not even flinch. Samshik and Henry looks so lovey dovey in here! Haha! Who would imagine the badass but adorable Samshik rooting for the other side? Now, that'd be seriously warped... but then again, who can resist Henry? I know I can't. :-)
This blog contains gay related materials. If you detest seeing images of beautiful, gorgeous and usually topless men giving you that seductive "fuck me" look, kindly bugger off.
OR
If you ain't open minded about the things that I write, kindly follow these steps: 1) Knock on the wall ten times. 2) Pluck off all your pubic hair strand by strand. 3) Jump off the building. 4) Then come back and read my blog again.
If you still find my blog offensive, kindly repeat steps 1 - 3 until you erm... get brain damage.
I was too lazy to try out a different style for my side bar, hence i'm sticking to the same style that I used for the other two blogs. I guess this would make me very obvious, but since you already surfed in here, I guess there's no point hiding anything. However, if you are a family member who surfed in here, then erm.. just take it as you didn't know who wrote all this. Heh...
